Happy birthday ... Simple card

Over at cupcake craft the challenge this week is a birthday card with no patterned paper so I thought I would share this stupidly simple card I am using another card to create the topper.

I added some glossy accents to some parts and some glitter to other parts to add that handmade element.

I used the original card and cut it down to this size to create the topper. I then fixed this to the blue card blank.

    I wonder if it's because you've got a flashy ipad that you're doing so many blog posts these days (other than the really obvious, you're loving it 'thang'). Is it so much easier to put photos in a post with that? The photos is the most time consuming thing about a post most times.
    Well done on recycling more cards to create a cute card
