A Raymond Briggs classic

So my final Snowman card for you and I must admit I am a little sad... Not quite upset enough to think I would buy a cd rom but would be very tempted with a die cut decoupage kit if Crafters Companion were to do one at a reasonable price like the Humphreys Corner one I bought last year.

I used the beautiful script paper and matted it on a dark blue base and then wrapped the seam binding around it. I then added the doily piece as it seemed to want something frilly and then the decoupaged topper added to the top. The card blank is quite a large navy one and so this is offset to the side but I think that looks ok ish ... May change my mind and trim the card blank down though... Ooh decisions decisions!

So keep me posted if you spot a reasonably priced snowman decoupage kit ... But only die cut... I have no patience for fiddly cutting out after a day of lots of it on Sunday!

Happy crafting!

Another snowman to share

Ok a simple snowman to share this time and its a shame the decoupage doesn't really show up so well...

He really is quite 3d in real life!

I mat the gorgeous script paper with some other coordinating patterned paper which has a gloss finish which again looks cool in real life, and then added the dark blue panel with the seam binding wrapped around. Then I added the punchies I've had in my stash for years and am determined to use some up! About another hundred to go so you may well see many many more cards with these sorts of things on!

Finally added my decoupaged snowman and left it like that as I thought he was good enough to finish any card off!

Happy crafting!

Who doesn't love Flopsy bunnies?

Really? No one can admit to not loving the gorgeous Flopsy bunnies!

Again from the kit from Sunday I had this lovely scene to decoupage and then layered it up using both the papers in my kit and stuff from the scraps box... Including the tag on which I stamped the sentiment which I have had for years! Literally years!

But there was something new ... Well the snowflake die which is the Big Flurry Bigz from Stampin Up ... But I used scraps of gold glitter card to create it ... So not completely new!

And because its got the snowflake it means it qualifies for Craftyhazelnut Christmas challenge ... Yes again! Think that's quite a few for this week. I haven't challenge blogged for ages and now I can't stop harassing Hazel! Ah we'll I know she won't mind!

Happy crafting!

Anything goes quick card

This card is a quick one ...

A panel of mirri card and a gorgeous flittered topper of pepper!
Entering it into the challenge at Incy Wincy
Can't get easier than that!?!

Some more random cards to share ...

... Back awake again after a sleepy afternoon ... Still feeling rubbish but an improvement on how I was so maybe over the worst! Thought I would share some more photos of cards I made a while ago and forgot to blog!

These two were both created from card toppers from the card samples I was given to up cycle! I still have quite a few card toppers left to use but not thought to use them for a while ... Maybe over the weekend I might get a few more of these done for the box of sparkle at work?!?

These were a couple made at the same time as I made all those baby cards but this time using freebie magazine paper and some bits and pieces from the stash pile.

A cute decoupage card ... That's all I have to say about that! It's cute ... Needs no further explanation! I still have more of that kit left too so maybe I will play at cutting things out and layering them up over the weekend too?!?

I am a bit of a nightmare for half finished projects. I have them all over the place and am not very good of completely finishing a project off or leaving half a kit still to be done. Maybe I should make an October promise to finish using up something ... At least before I go and buy anything else? I am also trying to sort my stash out and get rid of some of it via eBay and the like to make room for both new stuff and new projects... I find it so hard to get rid of things like stamps though as I adore them all but maybe that's another project for the weekend? Gosh the weekend is going to be busy ... Especially as I've not yet factored in the housework, ironing and seeing friends and family, and other errands... So maybe these little thoughts won't get done ... You will have to wait and see!

I think I have now blogged all outstanding photos of cards so if I want to blog again I need to get myself better and start creating! For now I think I have twenty minutes before the hubby and princess arrive home so I think it might be time to have a bath and read a magazine before donning clean jim jams and settling in front of the tv for a few hours before I arrive back here in bed.

Tomorrow I suspect I will try again to go to work ... Goodness knows if I will be well enough but I live in hope that I am and can get back to work.

Happy crafting!

A quick baby card

Sometime ago I made a whole load of baby cards and found some I didn't share at the time so I thought I would show these to you today. I'm full of a rotten cold and not enough energy to craft so this is the closest I can get to it by sharing stuff I've done in the past!

The little chipboard shapes were all in a pack I bought to make a couple of commissions and I kept the cards all quite clean and simple as I often think that clean and simple is best for baby cards.

Hope you like these... I so wish I could get myself up to craft but for the moment lying in bed is all I can manage.

For those of you that can ... Happy crafting!

Christmas card swap

Having said last time I was blogging over here that it was time for Christmas I have done very little about it until this evening when I made two cards! And what's more I am determined to make more!

So I thought I would pop over here and say hi and show you what I did! I did share one via the "other" blog but here goes for those that have not ventured over there ...

How cute is this Santa? I stamped him from the Holiday Hoopla stamp set retired from Stampin Up and then mounted him on a combo of bright green cardstock and a more muted Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Then I used my fabby new Snow Flurry Bigz die to cut two layers to the snowflake out and added a little Rhinestone in the centre to finish off.

If you like Christmas card crafting or indeed are thinking ... I really need to get started ... Why not join my Christmas card swap ... All you need to do is email me and let me know you are joining and then make five similar cards by the end of the month to send to me and in return you get five fabby cards back from others to stroke and admire and be inspired by! It's great fun ... I already have two fab crafting friends signed up so am looking for just two more ...

Just email me at catiecuddles@yahoo.co.uk and let me know you want to join in and I will email you in return!

Happy crafting
